Make App Store screenshots for the iPhone Duo

Make iPhone Duo App Store screenshots on your Mac or Windows PC: the inner display at 2007 × 2853 and the outer display at 1398 × 2034, in a foldable frame you can open, half-fold, or close on each page.

The whole workflow, on a Mac.

Project editing and screenshot rendering happen locally. Store purchases and license checks use the platform store. A publishing dry run renders and checks the screenshots; with Direct API it also signs in to App Store Connect, Google Play, or Partner Center to check the app and its listings, and uploads nothing. Screenshots are uploaded only when you confirm.

The problem

Why the usual workflow gets in the way.

The iPhone Duo has two displays, and App Store Connect has a slot for each: 2007 × 2853 for the open inner display and 1398 × 2034 for the outer one. Your iPhone screenshots have a different shape, so the Duo needs its own captures and its own frame.

The solution

How Screen Studio Kit handles it.

Screen Studio Kit has all four iPhone Duo sizes and a foldable frame. Import your Duo captures, write the headlines, and choose how far the phone is open on each page: Flat, Open book, Half open, Closed, or any hinge angle. A closed phone shows its outer display, with its own image in every language.

The four iPhone Duo sizes

App Store Connect accepts 2007 × 2853 and 2853 × 2007 for the inner display, and 1398 × 2034 and 2034 × 1398 for the outer display. All four are in Screen Studio Kit's Canvas list, under iPhone, and they count as one App Store requirement.

Dedicated iPhone Duo screenshots are optional for now. From April 2027 they are required for apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later, so Preflight shows a note about them until then, with an Add iPhone Duo inner button.

  • Inner portrait: 2007 × 2853.
  • Outer portrait: 1398 × 2034.
  • Landscape uses the same dimensions reversed.

Use captures made for the Duo

Each page shows the same capture at every size in the project, and the Duo's inner display is much wider than an iPhone screen. Your iPhone screenshots would be cropped, so make the Duo set in its own project with captures taken on the Duo or at its size.

Click Add Screens, then Import screenshot files, and choose your captures: the first goes into the frame, and each further capture gets a new page with the same layout. Type each page's headline in the Inspector.

Fold the phone on each page

Select the phone to choose a finish, Night Sky or Star White, and how far it is open: Flat, Open book, Half open, or Closed, or drag the Hinge slider to any angle from 0° to 180°. Each page keeps its own hinge angle, so the phone can open a little more on every page of the set.

Apply appearance copies the finish, shadow, and rotation to every page and keeps each page's hinge angle.

Show your app on the outer display

A closed phone shows its outer display. Click Import outer image under Fold to show your app there; with no image, the outer display stays off and Preflight warns about it. On a portrait canvas the closed phone lies sideways, so use a landscape outer capture, 2034 × 1398.

Every language can have its own outer display image. After you add a language, the Fold section offers Import outer image for that language; until you do, the default image is used.

Export the inner and outer sizes

Add iPhone Duo outer from the Canvas list to export the same pages at 1398 × 2034. At that size the automatic frame is the folded phone, showing each page's own capture.

Open Export, untick the sizes you don't need, choose a folder, and click Export images. The PNG files have the size in their names, such as 01-screenshot-1-en-phone-2007x2853.png.

Made on your computer

Screen Studio Kit makes the screenshots on your computer. Your captures are not uploaded unless you publish to a store yourself, and no AI is involved.

Clear answers

Common questions about iPhone Duo App Store screenshots.

What sizes are iPhone Duo App Store screenshots?

The inner display is 2007 × 2853 in portrait or 2853 × 2007 in landscape. The outer display is 1398 × 2034 in portrait or 2034 × 1398 in landscape.

Can I reuse my iPhone screenshots for the Duo?

Not without cropping. The Duo's inner display has a much wider shape than an iPhone screen, so make the Duo screenshots from captures taken at the Duo's size.

Can the phone be folded differently on each page?

Yes. Each page keeps its own hinge angle, from Flat at 180° to Closed at 0°.

Do I need Screen Studio Kit Pro?

No. The iPhone Duo sizes, the foldable frame, the hinge angle, and the outer display image are in the free version, which exports one size and one language at a time, up to 10 full-resolution images a day. Adding languages and exporting several sizes or languages at once need Pro.

Three short steps

Make the Duo set in its own project, then export both displays.

  1. 01

Start a project with iPhone selected and add the iPhone Duo inner size from Preflight or the Canvas list.

  2. 02

Import your Duo captures, one page each, and write the headlines.

  3. 03

Fold the phone on each page, then export the inner and outer sizes.
