Why Spreadsheet Compare is missing on Mac
Microsoft provides Spreadsheet Compare only in Excel for Windows with qualifying enterprise plans or equivalent editions. It is not included in Excel for Mac.
You can compare the two saved workbooks in Diff Anything on your Mac instead. There is no need to upload either file.

Catch a formula replaced by the same number
In the tutorial, the IT total still reads 21,000 in both files. The returned version contains a typed number where the original had a formula. Diff Anything flags that difference even though the displayed result is unchanged.
The same comparison reveals the changed marketing budget, its updated total and a new travel row.

Review changes across sheets
Click an item in Differences to switch to the sheet that contains it. Mark each difference as reviewed so you can keep track of what remains.
With Pro, Export creates a report you can send. The print option opens the HTML report in your browser, where you can print it or save it as a PDF.

What is compared
The workbook comparison checks cell values and formulas. Formula comparison requires both files to use the same Excel workbook format, such as two .xlsx files. Formatting, charts and macros are not compared.
The free version allows 10 new comparison sessions per day, with each workbook up to 5 MiB. Pro removes these session and file-size limits and adds report export.
